Bunting and beautiful weather greeted visitors to the Fox Corner Summer Picnic and the barbecues were kept very busy.
The Bird Song Walk was held on Saturday 27th May.
Twenty members and residents of Fox Corner joined our guide, John Arnott, at 8 am for a walk through the wildlife area.
Starting at the car parking area we first encountered a Whitethroat who entertained us with an aerial display.
Those with binoculars were then able to identify a further 8 birds whilst listening to their songs and calls.
John had been able to identify 21 birds in all when he walked the area prior to our arrival but for those new to listening to individual bird song, 9 was an excellent starting point.

The village put on a grand show - the hall was packed. We were pleased to exhibit at the show, providing information
about the site and the association, winning some new members and providing visitors the chance to win a lovely soft toy.
Don't forget to check out the Gallery for recent photos taken by Committee member, Nigel.
